CultureReframed
It’s not a case of whether kids will see porn, but rather when they will see it.
Today’s mainstream billion-dollar porn industry provides free, widespread online access to extreme content. Much of it is degrading, misogynistic, and violent—and specifically targets young people, including children, through a variety of platforms.
Culture Reframed is the premier science-based, global organization of scholars, professionals, and activists addressing the harms of pornography to youth.
Through robust courses and resources, we help ensure kids build resilience and resistance to hypersexualized media and pornography. In turn, they can develop healthy, respectful, and egalitarian views of sex and intimacy throughout their lives.
Reward Foundation
The Reward Foundation is a pioneering relationship and sex education charity. We are a key source of evidence-based information about love relationships and the impact of internet porn on mental and physical health, relationships, educational attainment and legal risks.
Our name comes from the 'reward system' of the brain, the part responsible for motivating behaviour and learning. This system can be hijacked and diverted by artificially strong 'rewards' such as drugs, alcohol, nicotine and the internet, especially pornography. Internet pornography or simply 'porn', is nothing like porn of the past. It's a super-normal or "industrial strength" sexual stimulus. As with cocaine and heroin use, it can lead to compulsive or addictive use in some people.
Treasures
Every woman deserves to live free from abuse and exploitation.
Our mission is to equip and empower women in the sex industry and survivors of trafficking to live healthy, flourishing lives and train others across the globe to do the same in their cities.
